Fatma Othman is a global marketing leader at McDonald’s, where she more recently stepped into a critical role in advancing the company’s digital engagement and loyalty strategy worldwide. She leads the end-to-end development of global loyalty partnerships—identifying and prospecting new partners, driving commercialization, and overseeing go-to-market activation. Her work ensures partnerships fuel active user growth while integrating seamlessly into the broader digital and marketing ecosystem.

Fatma joined McDonald’s in October 2020 after 5 years agency-side working on the McDonald’s business at Weber Shandwick along with other client work in the CPG, auto, retail, banking industries. In her time on the brand, she lead the social efforts for McDonald’s Canada – driving high levels of engagement, ushering in a new content and community engagement strategy and working closely to level up content creator work to drive business results. In 2024, she moved to the Global Marketing team in Chicago, where she oversaw global efforts for major brand campaigns targeting Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.

Most notably, she led the brand’s largest global campaign to date, “A Minecraft Movie Meal,” activating across 100+ markets and integrating loyalty, CRM, and social to drive impact at scale. There are two things she loves – being chronically online and keeping up with everything…. or a secluded, offline vacation to recharge.
